As Mr. Ioan Nistor illustrates in the preface of the album "Ţara Oaşului" from 2006 by Ştefan Iancu, there is an important number of people who have contributed to the promotion of the culture of Ţara Oaşului, being fascinated by the oneness of this regions, I quote:
"Important people talked about it, its depths have been rummaged, its paths have been walked on, its values have been explored. The list is loaded with names like D. Weigand, Pavel Eugen Barbu, I.A. Candrea, Gh. Focsa, I. Vlasiu (who left us the sculpture "Fetele din Oaş", I. Velcea, Tancred Bănăţeanu and others, who told deep things.
In 1869, in the magazine "Familia", at which Eminescu collaborated, Ion Buşiţa was publishing a serial of reports about Ţara Oaşului. The famous composer Bela Bartok, recorded musical folklore from Comlăuşa, Tarna Mare and Turţ, asserting the originality and oldness of the traditional music, especially carols, from this Romanian area. Numerous composers, Gh. Dumitrescu, C. Arvinte and others have processed traditional features from Oaş, and Dariu Pop dedicated the coral suite Ţara Oaşului. The sculptor Vida Gheza has illustrated an expressive game from Oaş. Two novels "Câslegi într-un picior" by Rodion Marcovici and "Oşenii" by Ştefan Pop Tarnita rebuild the image of some villages from Oaş, and Gh. Tulbure has published in 1933 a few stories from Oaş.
The specific dance and musical languages have called the attention of various scientists like Emilia Comisel, Tiberiu Alexandru, Iosif Hertea etc. Numerous songs have been transcribed by Ion Someşan (Danţul în Oaş) and Ioan Chioreanu-Oaş (Muzică populară din Oaş).
The specific outfit, admired around 1809 by the Hungarian scientist Szimay, has caught the attention of some historic movie producer, of some artists like Toma Caragiu who has naturally and admiringly worn it together with his wife.
The charm of the call outs fascinated the famous Maria Tănase, and closer to us Margareta Pâslaru has taken over and edited a musical play.
Another treasure consists in the photographic album Ţara Oaşului by Ioniţă G. Andron who, followed by Iuliu Pop, has left a real chronicle written with light about people and parts."
