With the occasion of the "Golden stag festival" Brasov 2008, the Oas peoples enjoied the spectators and telespectators with a special moment, presenting the Oas weadding. With the Easter occasion I have been in Turţ, I had the chance to immortalize in unique photos the significant moments of an Easter day. You can watch an image chronicle of an Easter day here.
I have added also some new photos in the album Images from Turţ.
Those who are willing photos taken on the Easter Sunday, I kindly ask them to let me know with an email message, telling me their names and what photos they need, I will organize then that the photos get to them free of charge.

Thanks to Maria Tripon, two new photo albums have been created. The albums present especially the activity of Oaşul and Sânzâenelefolk groups, young people from Negreşti-Oaş and surroundings, photos taken at a traditional evening of the village women. Thanks to Romanian Cultural Institute, I have received "Din răsputeri - Glasuri şi cetere din Ţara Oaşului", a book about Oas Land, and its music. I just added a short comment for this book which I recommend to everyone who is found of Oas music and people.

The 50th edition of Sambra Oilor event took place at Huta Certeze, where the participants could listen to traditional Oas music and participate at the traditional measurement of sheep milk.

An extraordinary folk event took place at Turt. Among the participants who entertained the audience we name Maria Petca Poptean, Nicolae Sabau, Nutu and Maria Leordean, Marius Vasile Iusco and others. More on this event here.
